myEDD Login verification (Multi-Factor Authentication) is a more secure way to access your myEDD account. After entering your username and password, you will receive a verification code through text message, phone call, or email. Once logged in, you can:

  • Manage overpayments or payments
  • View claim status, payment info
  • Update contact or profile settings
  • Receive notifications or messages about your claim

myEDD Login: Step-by-Step Guide

Welcome to myEDD Login page. myEDD connects you to unemployment, disability, paid family leave, and benefit overpayment services.

Creating an account is an important step in this process. With myEDD, you can apply for Disability Insurance and manage your claim in SDI Online.

Note: There are more requirements in the secondary registration for UI Online, SDI Online, and Benefit Overpayment Services.

  • Go to the myEDD login page: Copy myedd.edd.ca.gov into your browser and launch it.
  • Enter your email and password.
  • Then complete the multi-factor authentication step by entering the verification code you receive via your chosen method.

myEDD Benefits Payment Options

The California Employment Development Department provides three main payment options for benefits via the myEDD login portal.

1: Direct Deposit: (fastest, no fees) Direct Deposit is safe. It is a fast and easy way to have your payments deposited into your personal bank account automatically.

2: Mailed Check. You can select or update your preferred method through your California Employment Development Department account.

3: Money Network Prepaid Debit Card. Use your Money Network Prepaid debit card to pay bills, buy groceries, and everything in between.

How to Fix the Error Message on Your myEDD Account

If you received an error message while trying to log in, register, update your profile, log out, or reset your password:

  1. Visit myEDD to find out if the system is unavailable due to scheduled maintenance or is currently experiencing technical issues.
  2. Close all browsers, wait a few minutes, then open a new browser window.
  3. Go to myEDD and start the process again.
  4. Confirm that all the information you entered is correct.

If you continue to receive the error message, note the error code (if one was provided) and contact us.

How to Recover Your myEDD Account Password

myEDD will lock you out if you incorrectly enter your password or answer your security questions too many times. Try to log in again later.

  1. On the myEDD page,
  2. Select Log In Or Create Account.
  3. Select Forgot Password.
  4. Enter your email, then select Submit.
  5. Check your email and confirm your email.
  6. Verify your identity by answering the security question.
  7. Reset your password.
  8. Select Back to Login.
